Ryan's Profile
Ryan grew up in Southwick, West Sussex, near Brighton. After finishing school, went to Brighton University, where he studied for a Foundation Degree in Sport and Fitness, where he first learned Sports Massage techniques. Then in 2006, went to University of Chichester to study Sports Therapy. Here he learned more about Massage, as well as injury diagnosis management (including dealing with back pain) and rehabilitation.
In the final year of his degree, Ryan undertook work experience at Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club, developing the skills he had learned at University. In particular, his sports massage expertise was often called upon.
Ryan currently works at Whitehawk Football Club, as their Sports Therapist, providing match day treatment, and advice, as well as designing and implementing rehabilitation programs for the players. Ryan has also treated runners at the first Brighton Marathon.
Ryan is also a keen judo player, who is currently a 1st Kyu brown belt.
